no fuel in 94 fd

hey guys i got a 94 fd and just this morning it wont star i checked for spark and it has spark. when i turned the key on i could not hear the fuel pump turn on...

then it started for a second and died (fuel filter?)

then i plugged in the pfc and it started and i coul hear the fule pump and then it died..

anyone have a clue?

The clue is that the car isn't starting.

Now try jumpering the FP and GND terminals of the diagnostic box with the ignition on. If you don't hear the fuel pump, troubleshoot the fuel pump and FP power.

If you do hear the fuel pump, install a fuel pressure gauge (near the oil filter) and do the fuel pressure tests outlined in the factory service manual. Download the FSM from the sticky thread above.

Something else to consider. If it starts every time but then dies like clock work it can be the fuel pump resistor located under the cruse control. This happens becouse the priming system works but when it transitions to computer operation the signle goes dead. You can jump it at the resitor which will give you 12 volts constant. Then replace it.

Take a piece of wire like speaker wire or copper wire strip both ends, touch either end to each point.............. listen for the fuel pump..............

thanks guys... but i figured it out... it was my coolant temp sensor... i replaced it and it runs... finallly.

i really appreciate all of your guys inputs
