no Engine FD can it be ran non turbo?

I was able to find a FD with no engine/tranny needs a little work. I have a FC and recently got into an accident car still works but if I could use the NA engine and tranny in a FD i'll get the FD. Is this possible?

the fc engine is a 13b. the fd engine is a 13b-rew. the motor mounts on the motor are in different spots, correct me if im wrong but i think the fd motor mount goes through the oil pan where the fc motor mount is hooked to the rotor housing....im sure you'd probally have wiring issues too. but hey anything is possible with enough money.

dude, i say buy the fd and drop a V8 in to it, hell supercharge or turbo the V8 and it will be cheaper then buying a new engine and turbo/s and modding it to be fast!

P.S. LT1=1.5k
LS1=5k Note: it cost 4.5k for a T56 here in Hawaii while a LS1+T56 tranny+all accessories cost only 5k here!!! god i hate living in Hawaii some times!

an rx7 with no engine...hmm...well, i'd do like my uncle did when he had the same oppertunity, but it, leave it in your garage or wherever for the looks of having it, and save up to get a good new engine...i hear rotary performance is selling engines for about 3k, or it could be rebuilt motors...well, you might wanna check that out too.

FC Engine the motor mounts are attached to the intermediate plate, whereas the FD engine's motor mounts are on the rear plate.

it wont necess. be slow. i no this guy that has a street ported 13b with no turbos and its an automatic and his has got some pep to it but i dont trust the thing. BUT if a cars turbo leave it turbo and if a cars not turbo---dont mess with it-thats just my opinion. i say just get the fd and if there is a turbo problem save up for the cash to buy a turbo reman from rx7 store.net for like 800$ hell, even a twin upgrade if you feel the need- or go to single conversion right away just with that your gunna need a few other upgrades to insure it runs properly
