Question No clue here (heater)

i need some help guys... when i turn on the heat, it only works when i have it on the floor or defrost. not when i have it in the face or a mix with the face and floor. thermostat??? or maby a heater core??? no clue what to do so please help.

Heat does not come out of the face vents.

Buy a new car that has bi-level (mix) heat functionality. The FD (and most other 93-95 cars) don't.

IOW - it ain't broke, so there's nothing to fix. It's working as it was designed.

are you serious???? Mine does the same as well.... heat on floor and defrost....but not from the face vents.....so....that is normal????????????????? I thought something was wrong with the heater controller....

Having heat blasted in your face tends to make the driver less attentive/sleepy, which is why the system is designed as it is.

boy i'll tell ya, the things ya learn on this forum that you never thought you wanted to know i was just wondering if something was wrong with my heater this weekend because it just keeps blowing cool air out of the face vents when the heats on.

ok thanks guys.. no i didnt take the time to check the mamual? my dad keeps looking aorund for a chiltons or hayns type mamual. do you guys know of any? ive seen one for the 1st gen but not the 3rds... thanks guys

Neither Haynes or Chiltons makes a manual for the 3rd Gen. They stopped after the second gens.

FYI: if you have the heat all the way to the left...i will not be as hot on the face as it is the floor. if you turn left just not all the way...it will be the same on the face and floor... thanks again guys for the help.
