No boost after i re-installing turbos

i just did the very painful job of removing the turbos so i could replace them and fix up a nasty oil leak. for interests pics below is the fubared manifold. suspect of my slow primary boost spool up. any way after re-installing a 2nd hand pair which seemed to be in good nick i am getting no primary boost at all. i can hear it spool up but sounds very wrong. either some boost leak or the turbo is shagged but the compressor wheel spins smooth just like my old ones. And i just removed the crossover pipe and it shoots out air when i rev it (how much i'm supposed to be feeling i don't know) and removed intake elbow on prim turbo and i can see it spinning at idle as it should. the charge control valve is closed. has to be a boost leak but where?

If you hear a big hisss of air "like an air powred dremel tool" you prob have a huge boost leak like a inter cooler tube, or ypipe gaskets, ect. After installing my turbos from porting the waste gates i realized the tube going rom the ypipe connecting to the IC hose was coming off every time i boosted.

i had checked thoroughly for boost leaks and had found nothing. so i removed the turbos again  to find that i had misaligned the primary turbo into its exhaust housing when i inspected them for any damage. i was very carefull too when i put them back together and made sure everything was flush and that the wheel spun freely. the primary turbo didn't have much side to side freeplay either

anyway more fubared shots of my turbos

chunk sticking out on the primary turbo exhaust housing

chewed out 2ndary turbine housing

Ouch. Tough lesson. The turbine housing always tends to crack over there. Get some 99 twins, BNRs, or a single if you can afford it.
