Hi !

I have 99 JDM FD3S with Power FC, street-ported engine with ALS seals, larger DP, 76 mm exhaust pipe, big Greddy silencer (don't know the name) and stock other items.
I have such boost issue:
1)When I go WOT from 1st gear there is no boost (no more than 0.1 kgfc/mm2 it's about ˜1 psi)
then I shift at 2nd gear , go WOT - also no boost.
then I shift at 3rd gear , got WOT - also no boost (time to time, sometimes boost appears at 3rd)
at 4th boost appers (0.84-0.87)

2)If I run smoothly at 1st - there's no boost,
then shift at 2nd gear , run smoothly - I feel boost going up, push accel WOT - boost is good - 0.84-0.87 kgfc/mm2
3rd,4th,5th - boost is also good.


So the difference in this 2 cases that good boost gets earlier if I don't go WOT.

According to this - Troubleshooting - the problem is in TCA, or in the lines going to/from it.

In another topic (https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...oblem-1036539/) said that member had mixed 2 lines.
I tryied to find CCV and CCA lines but my car is 99 and I have a black box in it.


So I don't know how can I check if my connection is right or not.


I made some pice without UIM and a pic with a broken black box.
Can anybody say how should it be connected ?

 

I had a problem like this once. It was because the C-clip fell off the wastegate arm, and the wastegate door was flapping in the wind. Something I often check when there's zero boost being made.

I've checked diagram and found that vacuums for Charge Relief solenoid were mixed.
Changed it, start the car, boost appears at first two gears for 4-5 times. Than run again - there's no boost at 1st and 2nd again. ((

Seems like I have broken CR solenoid, does anybody agree?

 

Had 3 vac lines mixed.
Now it all ok, thanks
