Nice OEM style Garrett boost gauge
Was looking at fittings and noticed this Garrett GT Mechanical Boost Gauge which matches the OEM gauges very well, even a chrome style bezel. The only thing I don't know is the color of the night time back light.
I was going to replace gauges in the cluster but I don't want to loose the low water & oil warning lights. I was also going to replace the tach to add warning lights but i'd loose the cruise control light.
Onother option I have is to use Blue Racer Defi gauges in one of the DIN's which match my JVC DVD single DIN unit.
Most likely I will do a 4 gauge center channel pod with Glow Gauges because I don't want to spend $1k for Defi even though I want the warning lights. I will be doing Boost, Fuel Pressure, Water and Oil temps.

I sent them an email asking what the backround color is. I will post their reply as soon as I get it. If it is Amber, it will blow away the old Defi D-Gauge since it's 1/4 the price!
Garrett's website says that they're backlit white:

Hey Rob, if you can find a Defi D-gauge they are very close to stock lighting, I hear they are discontinued and they have no P&H option but they look incredibly close to stock. I just pulled the black ring off them to reveal the aluminum ring behind it.

Matt,The D-Gauge's are discontinued but they pop up on ebay for full price. The blue racer is the replacement version and both are overpriced. I don't want to spend over $1k on warning gauges. I was going to sell my JVC single din and get Pioneer double din becaus it has GPS and bluetooth for the cell phone. Now JVC has a new model which has optional blue tooth and GPS. So I can use the other DIN for 3 gauges and if I want more then i'll get the 3rd speaker mount pod.
I haven't got a reply yet but I think the GT gauge lights the same as it looks becuase it has both white and red numbers.

I emailed them and they said white. I imagine what they mean is it has a clear bullb and since the numbers are white then it appears to light up white. So basically it will look the same during the day but at night it won't be amber. I'm not sure if you can find an amber bulb replacement. I've seen bulb covers but not amber though.

Jimmy at Fighters got one in and we fooled around with it. It lights up just like the gauge looks in the daytime - the red numbers light up red, white lights up white, etc. The numbers themselves light up too, not like Autometer's crappy around the gauge lighting.
Hookup is 2 wires in the back, and it has a nipple on the back of the gauge for a regular vacuum line - don't have to fool with stupid ferrule/compression fittings. The vacuum line it comes with is crap, it's aquarium tubing, but that's fine for the price.
In general, it's a nice budget gauge - looks good, lights up nicely, good price. For the FD, the boost range is a little high, so you don't have a lot of resolution where you need it.

An orange bulb cover will make it look exactly like stock. I got mine at www.egauges.com for $3 each.
