NGK BUR7EQP Question
Hey anyone know anything about these plugs?? I got a mechanic to change my plugs and he had never seen these plugs before. Are they anything special or can you use standard iridium plugs. The leading ones were the above yet the trailing are normal RE9B. Why have 2 different types?? The thread seems to be longer on the leading. Help please!!

The stock setup is to have two different types of plugs - leading plugs and trailing plugs. If you look on the rotor housing, there should be an "L" and a "T" to help, so you don't get confused when installing.
anyway, that's standard. a lot of people, myself included, run NGK BUR9EQP in all 4 holes. You can search to learn more about hotter and colder plugs,etc...
bottom line, NGKs are generally considered the best plugs for the FD.

Irridium plugs are an un-necessary expense. The platinum plugs are all you need. You will foul both types plugs at relatively equal rate and the platinums are much less expensive.
As far ar the thread seeming longer on the leading, the trailing plugs are recessed into the housing making them look shorter when installed.
