CA next steps on bringing car back...need advice.

OK turning my track toy into a daily driver. First step was to get around smog. Done. Should not have to worry about that ever again. I have done all the reliability mods: V=mount; big radiator; big downpipe; catback, free flow cats; K&N intake; larger primary and secondary injectors; Apexi twin ignition; power FC ECU; aluminum flywheel performance clutch; etc... you get the idea. SO I'm thinking of:

removing AC (never have used it,live in Norcal)
removing all smog related devices i.e. pump, EGR etc..(what exactly do I need to remove?)
adding Aquamist/methanol injection
considering removing power steering (only because I keep bottoming out power steering coil!!) but I would like some feedback from those who have done this mod and if it is a good one especially for in town driving.
Basically trying to make engine compartment as roomy/clean/uncluttered as possible. Also need to know if there are any negative ramifications on doing above mods (balance, mechanical operations etc..)

I Also have a battery question: running a PC 680 but the battery is no longer effective. Should I replace it ? It doesn't seem that it has an appropriate amount of CCA. Would a Litho Ion battery be a viable alternative? (they are ungodly expensive; lithium pros battery is like $960 for same size as PC 680). I'm not really interested in relocating battery to rear as I am not going to replace carpets in car and don't want cables running exposed in cabin.
I have tried to do searches on these questions but so many non specific threads come up it is taking me far too much time getting these answers so don't flame me for this.
I'm not much of an engineer or wrencher but really want to learn. Any answers to above questions are really appreciated. Also, please feel free to offer any other suggestions for car improvements.

I use a Braille battery and it has enough cranking power for me. Used to have pc680 and it was also not a problem. Lithium batteries doesn't like heat so you need to relocate it. Also, Google around, you'll find the battery for much cheaper and somewhere in the $300 range.

My PC680's started to last a lot better when I moved it out of the engine bay and started plugging it into a trickle charger/tender when not in use.

The rest of your mods sound more like you're going from street to track vs. the other way around. That said, I live near the city in hot *** Virginia with no power steering or air conditioning, so you probably can in NorCal.

Let me get this straight... you're going from track car to daily driver, not the other way around? And you decide now is the time to dump the emissions, A/C and power steering? Basically what Peter said; I don't get it.

I think it's a bad move, you gain nothing from removing those items and only reduce the value of the car by doing so.

As far as removing emissions equipment the air pump is needed to keep your cat healthy AND to keep the belt in full contact with the water pump pulley. Unless you get an aftermarket idler pulley that is a no-no because of slippage and resulting over-tension on the crank pulley.

The rest of the stuff? Just think about it... do you really want parallel parking to be a bitch for no good reason?

The setup you have now is what people want and run on their street cars. With those mods you can actually sell the car for a good price because most of the mods you have increase the value of the FD for a rx7 enthusiast. You can then pick up a stock fd and just do the reliability mods (downpipe, ast, ect) and have a good stock daily car.

My advice is not meant in a negative way. It is meant as a logical alternative. Good luck with your project.

OK cool. No offense taken. Yes I guess it sound like i'm going more towards track, but really the idea was to simplify and create more room in an already crowded engine bay. So I guess I'll just leave everything in. Just seems like a lot of the guys here have done this stuff to their cars (as street drivers)
so again not sure why. Any more input on battery choices? I am looking at a company out of Florida that does lithium batteries, Lithium Moto. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Stay with a sealed mini battery unless you're willing to relocate the battery.
