Newer Mazda Bose unit work on FD?

Say if I get a stock Bose double din cd player from a NB Miata, the 6disc ones...would it plug and play in the FD?

not for sure....i highly doubt it....different speakers,different internals.....
if you know some one with a miata ...take out the deck and look at the plugs...count and check the wires....might be able to un pin and re pin the plugs...
but your better off going to the store and buying a deck....factory decks are over priced pos....

To my knowledge, only the 99-00 Miata Bose setups work with the FD's Bose stuff. On the upside, it should be plug and play with the FD. I have the Bose CD player/tape deck from my 99 Miata that I'll be putting in someday, it's just too much of a hassle. Every time I consider pulling out the stock crap and replacing it with slightly less crap stock parts I remember how much I don't listen to music while driving this car.
