NO not here. 350z's are the in thing right now and they sell (USED) WAY over what they sell for NEW!!! A new one will cost you literally an arm and a leg.

Cars here are just utterly expensive. The FD seems like the better buy or better bang for my buck but the maintenance would kill me I think. Specially if it is just normal routine stuff.

I guess since I am familiar with SR's I will just settle for a silvia. But thanks again for your help guys. Very much appreciated.

If you have to pay 300% taxes on anything you import, look into importing a 180sx from Japan. The cost of a good 180 with less than 100,000 kms is about $2000, so even with 300% duty it's still somewhat affordable in Malaysia. $8000 taxes in, and it's not that much to ship from Japan to Malaysia. I ship Japan to Canada, that gets expensive.

See thats where the issue lies. It is not possible to import vehicles into Malaysia that are more than 7 years old. So Im stuck with getting cars from 2001. Believe me I would have never considered asking questions if this country allowed for importation to be a bit more flexible.

So in considering that the only car I could import is a 2001/2 FD, or an S15. So either way it goes it will be closely the same amount so its not as easy as just picking one out and having it shipped here.

A 2001/2 FD might not give as many problems as we're used to on the 93's. Just a thought.

Can you buy an FD with a blown engine for a lot less, then bring in the engine separately? The blown engine car wouldn't cost nearly as much, and hopefully the engine and replacement parts wouldn't be subject to 300% import tariff.

300% is insane. I thought Brazil was tough with 50% tariff.
