Newbie Help

Hello folks
Right looking at buying a rx 7 in the morning but i need something sorted in my mind about this thing i heard about engine rebuild every 60,000 is this true and is there any where in essex that does it and rougthly how much does it cost please help

If they need a rebuild every 60,000 I better go rebuild mine which has 80,000 on it (and is perfectly fine)!

But seriously, no they don't have to be rebuilt every 60,000. Some will not make it that long (due to abuse, poor mod choices, or a bad rebuild) some will go double that. You rebuild it when it either wears out or you kill it. Two major reasons for a rebuild are coolant O-ring failure and apex seal failure, search about them. To find out if the Rx7 you're looking at is in good shape, you'll have to go over it with a fine tooth comb and get a compression test done on it.
