I really don't see what's so bad about the bodywork. It's flawlessly done and integrated, although the rear seems a bit wide. You have to at least give them credit for blending everything in so well from front to back. Even the hump down the rear hatch is still there when it goes along the rear deck.
Maybe they're driving it slowly to break it in.

Engine sounds great, in the one tunnel scene where you can hear it.
The body is, well...crap in my opinion. They should put out a video without music that highlights the engine, because that's clearly where all the work on the car has gone.

are you guys sure its a 4 rotor because the article i was reading said it was 20b 3 rotor...check it out for your self
"You can always count on TAS for some incredible modified cars that look nothing like the cars they are based on but still as clean as they come from the factory. This Scoot tuned FD3S RX-7 is a good example. Though Scoot is known in Japan as a performance tuner with near record times at Tsukuba, this FD had all the makings of an ultimate rotary showstopper: chopped scissor action doors that folded horizontally as they swing up, redesigned body lines perfectly blended with a pair of Infiniti M45 taillights, 20B 3-rotor conversion, Brembo brakes, and much, much more. I like it...you've got to remember, that's NOT an RX-7 anymore... It's just the frame, really, and interior and I imagine that's been modified as well.
Realistically, that's a completly different car, practically...the exterior has been fully modified, the engine is different...hell why not?
It think it's HOT, and looks like an upscale exotic...I love it...the front end could be a little more pleaseing, but I definetly like the sides and the rear. It's well done.
Awesome custom work...props.
Oh..and holy shiat...with turbos.

They really should have kept the orignal rear end then it would still be a pure rx7 BUT since it seems as thought they want it to be a totally different car its perfectly fine. It does look like a European exotic but its still beautiful and it will burn anything out on the road. That is the kind of car that people in rx7s want to race because they think it is some other european exotic when in fact its a fellow rx7 with an ambush makover.
BTW i saw that pic of the rear in "sport compact car"
Coverage of tokyo car show i think.

That is soo weak. I'm sure the car is awesome but I was expecting them to demostrate the 4 rotor power or at least see the engine. Isn't that the point and not some sleek and questionably ugly body style? We don't even really know if it has 4 rotors.

Front half looks great, but the rear half looks like they were going all out to make sure it looked like nothing you ever saw before on an FD, and they did that, but completely missed in terms of putting it all together to look like it belonged together. Concept was good, but I would have tried again. Regardless, I would still not hesitate to take it out for a spin.

I think the back end looks awesome actually, but it doesnt go with the round lines of the rest of the car. If they could square up that front end and roof that thing would be one of the hottest cars on the planet.
