sweet car. loved the sound. i do agree, i wasn't too fond of the rear end. it overextended the whole rear end. i just couldn't get used to it. overall the kit had some sweet lines on it though.

This thread reminds me about the D1 drift event. I saw a new 350Z in the car show that had a carbon fiber hood that was a replica of the RX7 Scoot hood. It bothered me that they straight out ripped off the design.

Looks nice but I agree the rear is definately "different". I also thought it sounded more aggressive in the 1st premier vid. Hope they will show more racing w/ it.

It's called RP-F1, and is very very light weight.
So, I got four 17"s for my 93 FD, but not that expensive.

You can check the info of those wheels below.

I personally am satisfied with them.
Whered u get them and for how much?

interesting that you say that, because the scoot hood was actually inspired by a LeMans Porche race car...somebody here has a link i'm sure

that is the gayest vid ever, dont even think the car is fast by the vid... i think the back end looks real nice, but definately not on an rx7, it would look nice on a car that wasnt as rounded and contoured as the FD..

my big question is: is it all motor then? like the 4 rotor Mazda that won those endurance races? i didnt see a intercooler either.

I love the concept, and I like the car - until you get around the back. I appreciate the work that went into it, but it just doesn't *work*. I think it's because of all the sharp angles and creases fighting with the curves that make up the rest of the car.
I absolutely love the beautiful noise the engine makes, though, especially in the "Short Option 2 Review" vid!

I realize this. The car itself needs work. I got a deal i couldnt pass up. I also figured that if i was going to put a V-8 in one, I couldnt pull myself to do it to a really nice one. I enjoy projects. I think i may want to throw the 4 rotor in a FD. I dont see many Fd without engines that arent totalled. What would be a decent price for just a shell. It can be bone stock. I dont need anything done to it!
I saw a non-totalled (no frame damage, it did have body damage, some missing interior parts and no engine/tranny and probably salvage title) FD shell on Auto Trader within 100 miles of 95377 about 2-3 weeks ago, not sure if its still there. They were asking $6000 I believe.

I like it.. if mazda were to make a car similar to that.. a curvey Lexus GS 300 is what it kinda reminds me of. Even though the interior is totaly rx based...

The outside just reminds me of luxuary not so much as sport.. dunno why...
