New thread what's up
As you maybe have read I replaced my turbo's with new ones and reintalled my new polished manifold and throttle body. Ran great on the first excursion but now I have a check engine light. I readjusted the throtlle body position sensor to bring it in to the correct values but that is not the problem. When the motor is cold it runs great with full boost, when it warms up it codes and has high idle and does not boost. I checked for the usual vacuum line problems/electrical connectors and they all look good. So I have a sensor problem I think. Maybe something I did or maybe something new. Any ideas as to what would make it run with high idle with boost problems when its wamed up? Its like a night and day switch at the moment
Thanks again.
André

High idle is usally a result of a vacuum leak, which probably gets worse as the engine warms up and causes rubber/plastic components to get soft. Did you replace all the gaskets for the TB, IM, and Elbow? Have you pulled the error code from the ECU yet?

In terms of vacuum I has replaced all the lines with silicone and zip ties a while back and no problems there. And yes I replaced all the gaskets and also checked it with carb spray to see if I had a leak, no problems there. So the saga continues.........

i know it's very easy to pinch a hose reinstalling the UIM. You might pull it again to make sure nothing kinked. I'm not sure why it would make a difference between when it was hot or cold. Since you mentioned the throttle body you might check the throttle body actuator. try disconnecting and plugging the vac hose that runs to it to see if it makes a difference when warm, or you can watch it with the car idling to see if it works. I think that might give you both a high idle and boost problems. I guess you've looked here too? http://home.istar.ca/~dvandit/turbocharger.htm
