New stock sway bar mounts.

I bought these mounts for a spare set and noticed they are different from the other set of good used mounts he threw in. When did Mazda all the extra plate to the mounts where it attaches to the frame?

Just curious how long it took Mazda to realize this was a weak link.

I bought one last year and noticed the extra plate. What I was surprised about is that they only cost ~$28/ea or something from Mazdacomp.

OK, but when did Mazda start adding this to production vehicles?
