new springs and shocks...HELP

i will need to get new shocks as soon as can figure out what i want...can u guys help me out decide what to get and as well as give examples of what u are runnig and what u think will work well together. my #1 choice is to get some koni adjustable shocks and keepign stock springs for now. but i though since i have to take it all appart might as well get some coilovers as well. i autox almost every weekend and plan to road race. my other choices are apexi n1, tanabe, tein and ground control...
hope to hear some good insights

I tried the Koni/Eibach stage 3 kit (DoubleAdjustable)from TrueChoice (www.truechoice.com) and ended up taking them back after fitmet problems and a blown shock within 1 day.

I am VERY happy with the TEIN HA's I ended up with! Bolted right on, 24 levels of adjustment, up to 2" of drop and they were a bit less than the Koni/Eibach setup through TrueChoice.

I have the Tokicho and Eibach ProKit springs with 17"'s. Don't buy this setup. My springs/shocks are sagging and causing the driver's side front tire to rub on the fender ruining my new paint job! That sucks!

I believe that the shocks are just saggin due to wear and my fatass sitting on the left... Go with the coil overs! so that you can corner weigh your car.

Second that, the TEIN setup is a great bang for the buck, for about the same as it would cost to get regular shocks and springs you can get a real coilover setup.
Nothing but praise from me.

Hey Glassman,

I'm wondering ab out the HA's myself and got a couple questions.

1) before your upgrade, what was your ride like? Rattly, noisy?

2) after your upgrade, do you notice noise differences? has the rattling subsided (if you had any prior to the upgrade)? What is the ride quality like, better or just the same? I'd like to know if it feels better or worse now going over rough roads.

Muchas gracias,

Ant
