new springs and shocks

everytime i take a corner hard either left or right depending onteh turn the front outside wheels rub under the fenderwell. i am nto exactly sure if its doing that cause my springs are worn and cant support the weight or if its the shocks and cant respond fast enouf. i was wonderign what springs and shocks are out there that are popular among FDs. i am still somewhat new to the rx7 scene

I rub as well, but I think it's cause of my rims. I have 18's on the car, and I have to figure out how to stop the rubbing.

I tend to doubt it's the springs, but you never know. One good way to tell if your springs are worn is to measure the ride height. Most good shops will have a book with the factory spec ride heights in it. Be sure
to get the measuring points too. They're different for different cars.

Usually springs sag on the driver's side first because that's where they carry the most weight most of the time.

what springs are you running? are they stock? what size tires? what kind of tires? how many miles on the springs? when they rub is it during a high speed corner, or just when you turn the wheels really sharp?

I'm using the Eibach 1" lowing kit. I never had a problem with rubbing when I had my goodyear GS-D's but since changing to Pirelli P-Zero's I get rubbing during hard, high speed cornering. I figure that it's because the P-Zeros grip more than the GS-D's (they were pretty worn by the time I replaced them) to the point where I pull more lateral g's in the corner and therefore compress the springs that much more.... that in addition to the fact that the new tires are taller because they have more tread.

Anyway, answer the above questions and we may be able to give you a better response.

As a blind answer, I've heard that the M2 coilovers are a really good suspension upgrade and the fact that they give you adjustable ride height means that you should be able to keep the tire out of the fender well without too much problem.

springs and shocks are stock i get rubbing if i go into a corner at about 40mph+ also if the road is uneven and i would cruise on it at about 100mph or so the tires also rub. i know the ride hiight for the FD is 4.5 inches but where do i measure that off of? i also remember teh previous owner saying he replaced the shocks coudl he have gotten cheapo mineke ones and they are of a diffrent rate? lso what is M2 spring kit and who makes, link?

The stock spring rate is 106 lbs/in for both front and rear, and the spring rate was the same on all models.
