This site is an experimental project of Japanese Car Magazine Option 2 to introduce what they are doing to the people who cannot read their magazine and cannot come to the event.

Additional Info about New Scoot car

As I wrote to other thread before;

The Scoot's car appeared in the Japanese version of
sevenstock on 07/06/03 at Fuji circuit.

I saw the car and I heard the exhaust note of 4 rotors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was the most glamorous but wildest sound I've ever
heard. Gee, that was awesome.

Sadly, the car wasn't quite ready for the event.
It wasn't even painted. As you can see in the pictures,
many many people were looking forward to seeing the
new FD from Scoot at the event. It had been
announced on a Japanese car magazine(Option2).
So, even though their job was half way down, they had
to bring the car to the event to satisfy the people who
came all the way from nowhere to see their car.

Scoot said that they rushed very much to made the gig
so that the car is a sort of prototype. But whatever
they said, they were showing off the innovative things
they have done including the 4 rotors baby. We can
expect more improvement in detail, especially to the
exterior and interior.

Scoot also mentioned that they are gonna sell the
headlight kit and exterior kit. But I don't know when
and how much those are going to be............

That shot of the Glowing Cat is awesome. I really didnt like how he kept blipping the throttle, sounded really gay. Was he trying to make it sound like a bridge ported car. Love the car anyway... 4 rotors wow.

I think it sounds good.

Hideous though.

Also, i think they made it w/ 12A housings to keep it shorter, so its really a 24A/B

I agree, listening to them repeatedly blip the throttle and rev it in neutral doesn't do much for me. On the other hand neither does the 787 which I think sounds fantastic winding out tall gears on the track.

You'll hear F1 mechanics doing that to warm F1 motors in the morning... just a rapid, repetitive "whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop"

I would have liked to hear it to more than warm up and pull out of the garage... but i for one actually like the raw idling sounds of this and the 787B.

i dont know why you guys are complaining about the body kit they fabricated. i think it's awesome. i wouldnt want it for my car, but to create something that completely changes the look of the car (without making it seem 'riced out' or just plain strange) like that is a big task. i think they did an awesome job, and the car actually looks like a 'super car' and not just the sporty rx7 it was before.

Yea I love the sound of the idle when its not being run over by that retarded bliping. I think they did a good job on the redoing of the body, only problem with it is that it doesn't look like an 7 any more.

Theres not much that I would change about the car. Looks like dual exhaust finally made it to an FD... other than the ab flug car.

I think it looks best from the side.
I'm not crazy about the front or back but what bothers me the most is that they lost the hour glass shape of the rocker panels.

It sounds awesome! I love it. I want one

As for the body kit. The front looks ok, but not better than anything currently available here. The sides and the back are hideous. They completely lost the sexy lines of the FD. I do give them credit for completely changing the look of the car, but then I slap them in the face for changing it to that.
