New to the RX7

Hey to all,
After I saw the Rx7 in some old magazine ads, I fell in love with it.
And I started to look into it and learned alot of things about the car with the rotary engine. I drive a 96 ford probe; not the fastest thing in the universe and not the slowest lol, anyways, Im trying not to put that much money into my car since i dont intent to keep it long so i just did little visual mods like painting the interior ( alot of people like it and asked me to do theirs). And I also have a apex muffler.
So I now want to get a RX7. After much research this is what i found...
Rx7s(FDs) have a crappy reputation for overheating and blowing up the engine due to weak apex seals.
Their stock intercooler sucks cause its so small.
and lots of other things, so when I get one these are the reliability mods I intend to do ( please help if i am wrong)

Larger intercooler, larger radiator, change all hoses to silicone, get a mid pipe, down pipe and a full exhaust, add gauges to monitor the fuel/air mix, exhaust temp and the boost level.

I got a lot more things to do to a 7 once i get it like upgrade the injectors and get a fuel computer and possibly a single turbo conversion for more power.

Please help cause i know im missing alot of things, or give me some opinions.
Thanx!
