Are you certain that the bumps on the back of the pads are going into the holes/slots on the piston? If not, turn the piston to line them up.
As a last resort, you could file the pads down with a big, flat file.

I bought the same dimpled rotors/Axxis pads combo from them and had the same problem.
Either the new rotors are slightly thicker than stock or the stock pads are thicker
than the new Axxis pads.
I didn't want to break in the new pads and rotors together but my stock, almost
new, pads wouldn't fit.
In fact, one of the Axxis pads had no holes for the anti-rattle spring. I had to drill
them.
The steel braided line which was part of the kit, was also off.
I wasn't able to use the clip which was supposed to mount to the front shocks.
Until you posted, I assumed that I must have screwed up somewhere, when I rebuilt my calipers.
Can't complain about the performance of the Axxis pads/rotors tho.

lol so true as long as it works. besides regardless of brand and how they work, they should still fit properly
