I think I just replied in the Blitz wheels thread you had going Dave7rev, they're 17x8 front 18x10 rear. The paint, actually, is factory other than the front fenders, bumper, skirts, etc and mirrors. It doesn't all quite match perfectly because we had to throw the car together at the last second for the show it was in. It's getting fixed within the next couple weeks. <It's not like I can drive it here in Ohio, so I can wait, lol>. I don't really know about cost either because the shop that did it is kinda sponsoring me and had me in their booth, so I dunno what im actually going to pay when its all done, but probably not much. My other car had some crash work and a full repaint and the repaint was like 1800, granted its a crash shop, the car was a show car and i knew an employee there, they took alot more care with the car than they might of with any general crash work, but they always did at least a decent job, my car was just an exceptional job.

It'll be driven on the street, but its not tuned yet. If your worried about starting, it started the car right up no problem, and the car was running like crap so we had to start it about 10 times to get it in and out of the convention center. The battery has plenty of juice to get the car started if you dont use the stereo too much with the car off im sure. The battery came from http://www.1st-optima-batteries.com/, for 140 shipped you cant really beat the price.

The suspension is next, and the radiator is being flipped right now to make a V mount setup and will be ducted in when its done. Also like I said above, everythings at the polisher right now, should be done any day.

Not my taste, but obviously a well done car. And for the quote above ( and ones like it), reply with your pics. Polishing only looks good for standing still! When are you going to see his engine bay......staring at his ***!!!!

Where's Zerobanger when you need him.

Thanks, I take it your not a fan of bodykits? I'm not a huge fan either, my old 92 escort GT <yeah yeah, live and learn, but it was competetive with anything else in the price range for sport compacts> show car never had any aftermarket body work. The main reason this car got it was that i got a deal i couldnt pass up on the work and the parts, and I'd like to try and snag some sponsors and having a "wow" show car is ussually the best way to it.

We're not exactly sure, as it was a second hand piece we got at a freight salvage store, it appears to be a tangential divided 1.15 ar exhaust with a p wheel and a 60 trim .58 a/r compressor, we'll see how it does on the dyno and spool wise, it may get axed in favor of something better suited to the motor if it turns out to not be what we thought it was.

FYI. In the northwest you can pick an Optima D51R for $109.00 at Knecht's Auto Parts. Had mine for a couple of weeks now, no problems what's so ever in starting the FD right up!

13k for the car, 10k or so in mods, though the labor was all free <me and my friend who is a great tig welder built everything> and the paint was virtually free. I figure by the time its done i'll have somewhere in the 20k neighborhood invested. As far as the interior, there isnt much to see other than a few gauges on the a pillar for the moment. At some point it'll get some racing seats and a cage.

The body shop did the work for materials cost and got me the body kit and a few other pieces at cost. In exchange my car was in their display booth at the Cleveland Autorama this year.

I'm the president of ASR motorsports, we run the superfly sunday show, the rx7 was just finished, it was only out a couple times last year and it was stock, I have the Blue Escort GT and the green mazda protege too. We're moving the show this year to a new lot, we're not sure where yet, we have a couple candidates. But you'll definately see the rx7 there this year.
