New owner of a 93 touring!
Hey guys, I've been on the forums for about a year and have been researching for 1 and a half to 2 years. It's taken me months to find the perfect car, but I've finally found it : A montego blue 1993 Touring RX-7. Yes, I'm currently in high school and my parents have paid for the car, but I'm not retard. I am mature enough to understand the limits of my driving capability. In fact, I'm afraid of driving the car especially under boost. Hopefully, you guys won't flame me too much =p. Anyways, the mods will all be coming out of my pocket, and I will be doing most of the work (hopefully, I won't mess up. My dad was a mechanic so he can help me too). I've had experience training as an Auto Mechanic and am super stoked to own this car. You can trust me guys, I won't wrap this baby around a telephone pole. Anyways, for my first few mods, I'm going to be adding a boost gauge, doing the fan mod, and doing a silicone hose job. Anyways, thanks for listening to me ramble on and don't hate me too much. BTW: I also have my parent's Camry that I will usually be driving around. Pictures here:

Engine bay looks nice and clean, stock as a **** too. Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders, unlike most of the young kids looking to buy FDs. Make sure you drive that camry in the rain

I too got my fd my junior year in high school, and am paying for mods this year(senior year). Congrads bro that care is awsome, wait untill you line up to a supra and smoke it. Plus it will get you laid more than your schools top quarterback. Have fun and dont let your friends pressure you into anything(and they will try). One more thing one of your very FIRST mods you do is get a Valention One radar detector, its saved my *** many times.

A nice virgin FD, just waiting to be be touched. Finding a stock FD is rare. How many miles and how much did your "parents" pay for it. Some kids get all the luck.

Definantly, although California seems a lot more laid back cops-wise than Ohio.
Ohio is full of dick cops who will get you for 40 in a 35

Congrats!
I'm also in high school, and I've always loved FD's since I started lurking here 3 years ago. I recently bought the first car that I could call my own, and I was extremely ecstatic. But I can't possibly comprehend how you must feel in comparsion, because YOUR CAR IS AN FD!!
I sure hope I meet more people like you. I'm usually surrounded by the usual high school mentality, which includes feeling invincible and the favoring of the image of driving a performance car rather than good driving, effective maintenance, and understanding the capabilites of a car and the limitations of its driver.
Since we're both in the bay area, maybe I'll see your beautiful rx7 on the road someday.
