new- need info

Hi i've just joined the club.
I live in the UK and RX-7's are rare, specialists are rarer still. But despite this i'm going to buy one as soon as possible. So i'd appreciate any info on the following points- How is the rotary engine like to work on, are parts expensive and how much does the car weigh in KG
thanks
dan

The fd's are easy to work on for a rotary shop if they know what is going on
Parts are usually fairly expensive and most problems with the motor require a rebuild or a new motor.
A rebuild costs about 3500 dollars and getting a new motor installed is about the same.
The
The weight depends on what version it is the R models are lighter at a little over 2800 pounds I think and tourings that are fully loaded can be 3200 pounds. It also depends on the transmission I thin automatics weigh about 65 more pounds.
2800 pounds is 1045 kilograms and 3200 pounds = 1194 kilograms
good luck
I want to bring my fd to Greece next summer when I visit my grandparents for a couple months
Maybe now since I helped you I can come get yours and borrow it haha
