New Member Efini question

Hi all, I just picked up a RHD 1992 FD, the car had some rare parts on it when I got it,
RE exhaust, hood, wing
Kei office coilovers

On the back of my car it has the Efini symbol and badge, just wondering if anyone knows how I could tell (preferably visually) if the car does infact have the Efini turbo's or if the badges were put on for show?

Thanks.

Most likely they are just badges since the turbos weren't available untill "99". People always put those badges on but rarely upgrade to the efini turbos because they are expensive

Don't the 99+ turbos all have the same serial number, something like N361 or something like that. I can't remember and they aren't close by or I would look at mine.

if its a RHD, the Efini badge most likely is real.

the efini badge has nothing to do with 99 spec. when 99 spec changes came out (bumper, turbo, air duct, etc...), the badges all changed to the flying M.

i believe all 92-95 FDs in japan have efini badging regardless what model.

so if the turbos are original, then u have same US spec OEM turbos. if the previous owner changed it.. then yes, 99 spec turbos have a different code marked on them and you can also tell if u remove the intake pipe and there's black plastic on the inner compressor housing.
