New HID Headlight (R-Magic)

The kit uses PIAA 35W HID lights for the low beams (oval)...

55W H3 halogens are used for the high beams (round). Not sure why they bothered with the H3s (which could be upgraded to 110W bulbs, probably, like the East Bear/RE Amemiya kits), since the D3S PIAAs are supposed to put out the equivalent of a ~150W halogen system, from what I've read. The PIAAs are also expensive... $1,499-1,999 from what I've seen.
I like them. I always liked the look of the car with the body-color headlight doors closed, but never could stand them open (a feature that should have died with the Porsche 928, in my opinion) or the more or less rectangular shape of the lens on a very "round" car. A kit which leaves a lot of the headlight "door" intact but still exposes fixed lights is great, as far as I'm concerned, and this is exactly what I was shooting for in trying to build my own kit. Looks like someone might have saved me the trouble.

According to R-Magic's site...all english inquiries should be directed to Bozz Performance. Guess Bozz in Cali will be their distributor.
If priced ok...looks interesting.....hmmm...this one or Panspeed.

I really dont like the idea of an H3 bulb for a headlight. They are TIIINYYYY. Theyre driving light bulbs, theres no way it can pull off a good light pattern. The lights look sweet as hell, but i think thats all they were going for, aesthetics and not soo much functionality.

Maybe it's just the photo, but it looks to me like the pod covers on the kit aren't lined up properly with the fenders & hood. It looks to me like at least the back edge is a little bit too high.
If it *is* too high, and can be adjusted to properly line up independently of the lights, then maybe it's no problem. But if the whole thing moves as one unit, it doesn't sound so good....

I have true HOD in my stock headlights. Installed the Ballasts on the bumper frame. And I also removed the metal cone in the headlight assembly.
All I can say is that my Driving and fog lights don't even make a difference on or off.
The FD should have come with the HID to begin with and it is bright...........

Jason of JT-Imports saw them in person in Japan. He commented that he wasn't very impressed with the build quality. Ask him or Chuck of RotaryExtreme....they both were at this year's Tokyo Auto Salon.
