Most people nowadays take what they can get in the world of rx-7's. If you find a good one you latch onto it . The seals are not a bad idea. The rx-7 already comes stock with an intercooler so that is no problem. Basic mods should be a downpipe and exhaust muffler. Also, you can replace the Air Seperation Tank with an aluminum one (stock is plastic) and that should prevent some overheating issues. Search around the forums and you can learn a lot more. Good luck to ya

Well before the vertern pessimists jump down on you..I'll get my comments in..
First I would suggest that you indeed get your permit and license..The RX7 is a very nice car indeed, but mishandled it can lead to some herrendous situations..I don't know you..you don't know me..so I can't exactly tell whether you'll wreck the car and/or yourself..but if indeed you are going to buy this car then be sure to respect it.
Remember that RX7's are maintainance cars..so keep up on top of all that it needs and you'll be OK..there are a plethora of websites that detail the initial reliability mods that need to be done to this car to make sure that it runs perfectly, and also allows you to tell when things are beginning to go bad. Obviosuly you don't need that information right now..but when the time comes..:-D
Let the games begin.....

Welcome dude........Theres a lot of other things beside replacing the seals that can make your 13BREW bulletproof. Since heat is the enemy most of the time you should thing about investing into an aluminum radiator. Also a good upgraded ECU will be needed if you plan on upgrades in the future. Remember to do all services consistently, don't dog your 7, respect it. If you have any questions do a SEARCH on the forum first, you'll find a lot of usefull information here, and if you can't find the answer to your question, I'm sure anybody here on the forum will be more than happy to help out

I am not tring to BUST your bubble..
BUT do not get a 3rd Gen RX7 as your FIRST car..
TRUST ME.
My first car at 16yo was a BUICK Regal Grand National.
Yea the fastest american car built in the 80's..
I admit. I used and abused it. and took it for granted.
Your first car, you learn on. Basically gets abused.
No matter what you read and so on. Nothing is like
experience. And learning how to drive on a FD3S
can be costly and painful experience.
good luck
