New to the forums...figured I'd share some pics of my car.

Just got my FD a little over a month ago. I'm loving it - its the first true sports car I've ever driven, let alone owned. I've wanted one since I was a young laddie, and after getting the insurance check after I was rear ended by a drunk driver in june, I was finally able to realize the dream.

Anyway, I just got a new digital camera and took the car out for a little photoshoot. Enjoy. (btw...I hope this is the right forum to post pics in. If not, excuse my mistake).

Anyway, this forum seems like a great place. RX7 owners are definitely super friendly, and Im digging the community here.
Cheers!

Hmm the forum ate my post, so I'll try again...
Im actually thinking about going to the bellingham meet, if I get my clutch replaced in time. I have a bunch of friends that go to Western, figured I'd stay up there and make a weekend out of it.
Maybe I'll see ya there.

That is a very nice FD, great pix too. Congratulations on the semi-new purchase. How much did you pick her up for?(if you don't mind me asking) =) I will be in the market for one when i return to the US.

Actually...thats a photoshop job of the engine bay. I took a pic of it with the hood open, and shut, then chopped the two together and made the hood semi-opaque. I think you might be confusing that with dirt?

Nice car. Are those 18's or 17" rims on there? Looks good. Not crazy about the front end, but it's one of the better aftermarket front ends I've seen.

Congrats. You have a very nice car. You really need to clean up that engine tho. The front end looks to be the 15th Aniv. Mazdaspeed.

The clutch needs replacing first of all, and then relability mods.
After that...the sky (or my bank account...) is the limit

If anyone wants to know how to do the transparent hood thing, just lemme know...its actually pretty easy, as long as you have a digital camera and photoshop.

It was on the car when I bought it, along with the sideskirts - I was told they were Mazdaspeed when I bought it. Someone in this thread said they were the 15th anniversary parts, but I'm unsure of the details.
