New flapper for wastegate?

Anyone ever heard of larger flappers for the wastegate being installed on the stock twins? Was talking with someone the other day, telling him how I ported my wastegate and still can't control my boost, and that I'm resorting to a restrictor plate. He mentioned that he's heard of people installing larger flappers in order to port the wastegate opening even larger. Just wondering if that's something that's an option for us...

YES this can be done. the prespool door is 1/10 of an inch larger and will fit with some work. Garfinkle changed this on his BNR stage 3 set. If you want there is room for a bigger door with some more work. He may go bigger before installing the set. I have not seen the set up but Rotorbrain has. The prespool door is not being used and was removed .
