New to FD's and the rotary
Hey everyone!! I'm obviously a new guy out of Atlanta, Ga. that is in search for a FD! I currently own a 02 IS300 5speed(bolt ons only) and a 99 Lexus RX300 (230k miles) as my daily..nothing special, but they are both about to be sold and I want something no one else has! This was the first car that came to mind and after being a lurker on here for a while I've learned quite a bit, and feel much more comfortable about purchasing one..
Any suggestions?
Thanks!!!

Well I'm 21, and I do okay for myself. No kids, have a girl friend but she's rockin a E46 M3 so I don't have to worry about her driving it..I think I may just keep my SUV since I'm not going to get much for it anyways.
I understand the goal is to keep these things cool, upgrade the main seal and not be an ******* to it all the time..lol
thanks for the input guys!!

Just a word of unsolicited advice. At 21, throwing money into a dark hole like an FD, or any car for that matter, is not a wise choice. I assume you have a job, but probably not a house. At your age you should be thinking about taking advantage of the current housing market and buying. Beyond that, you should be maxing out your IRA and any 401k plans. If you are a student, you really have no business buying a money pit like an FD. Finish school, pay off loans, and start establishing yourself financially. Just a thought from a gray haired old fart with kids of his own near your age.

Yeah my DD is a '96 Ford Explorer XLT AWD with 128,000 miles - fantastic gas mileage. The computer I'm typing on is worth more.
Screw you man, I've only got what. . 4 years. . .left in the UNC MD/PhD program? (j/k) God, I'll be 30 when I graduate. When did I got so wrong?

I feel your pain on the SUV. I have a mint 2002 V8 Ford Explorer Limited with only 48,000 miles. It is great except for the gas mileage. It is bad when I drive the RX-7 to save money on gas! The problem is that I wouldn't get much for the truck if I sold it so it is worth more to me as a reliable DD, even with the price of gas.

I've been putting off getting a new toy for some time, and I have a solid amount saved. It was between a MKIV supra-GTE...or the FD Rx7..but since supra's are like civics where I live...I'm going with the FD. I understand its a money pit, but aren't all cars when ya mod em?
Thanks again for the advice! I appreciate it!
