New FD3S, new to me
I just purchased a 95 RX7 yesterday, my first rotary. Been a long time coming, and I want to do this one right. 60,000 miles and it is immaculate, inside and out. Motor is smooth like butter. As of now, everything is perfect, I'd be lying if I told you something was broken. It's virginal, it's even white.
What are the best proven measures one can take to ensure reliability and trouble-free operation in the future?

The stickies and the advanced search feature is your friend. Basically if you can think it up it has been asked before. I have been trolling here for a year and haven't came across something I couldn't find in one or the other.

sounds nice! dont beat the s***t out of it everytime you drive it.Warm it up before you drive it and let it idle a little while with your fans on to cool it off,change your oil every 2000-3000 miles, and say a prayer every night , LOL!
Dp, boost gauge, rad if yours looks like its going to die, Power fc+commander is nice just because all the stuff it can show you, not really needed though...just read stickies and youll get all the info you need. Your FD sounds really clean tho, post some pics!
Leave it alone...... Thats just my opinion on this car.
I would say leave it alone, get use to the car then slowly modd it if that turns out to be to your goal. We dont want to see you wrapped around a tree or something....

I hear wide body kits, 19" rims, and NOS improve the reliablity j/k 
Seriously in addition to a downpipe and boost gauge I'd check the condition of ALL of the coolant lines, the AST, and the vacuum lines in the rats nest. If those are all stock they're probably about due for replacement.

Other than that, be willing to learn, maintain it religiously and don't drive it like you stole it.
