new engine and install pics

hey guys and gals, my car has been outta commission for a while and is finally about to be back on the road... a few vacuum leak issues is all thats left to be solved! here are some pics of the engine rebuilt by Rob at Pineapple racing. its a 3mm streetport with all his oil mods, hardened stationary gears, etc etc (basically all he could do with it) at the same time as the engine install, we put in a fluidyne radiator, supra tt fuel pump, 12 lb RB aluminum flywheel with ACT heavy duty clutch.. J&S knock sensor and non-sequential turbos w/ported wastegate and ditched the airpump and ACV.. already done to the car before she needed a heart transplant is pettit intake/ECU/shortshifter/swaybars/AST, full 3" exhaust, cross drilled brake rotors, and a boost gauge. I will only be running 10-11 psi (MBC) until I get an IC of some sort...

here be the pics:

like the ports?

And you got it in without scratching the nose, even without a protective cover. Good job and steady hands.

Ahhh, the very car that sparked my original interest in the FD. I'm glad to finally see things are working out for your car.

were the new rotor housings an option or included in the rebuild price? and then you need to change your pulsation damper, you dont want all that work to burn down do you?

Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but that looks like an EG Civic to me.

yeah I can't quit tell, if you look at the basic shape and the front nose it looks like an r32 gtr but after seeing that the rear end was visable sortof through the windshield of the cym, it doesn't have the rearend of the gtr.

the one near the front is a civic with a gs-r swap.. the one slightly visible through the back glass is a prelude with a t-104e kit.

and yes I thought somebody would mention the chain.. the front nose is chipped all to hell and needs to be repainted anyways so i didnt care.. it didnt even do any damage anyways.

and yes the new rotor housings were included in the price. its the only way Rob will give the 5 yr/60k mile warranty. about the pulsation dampener... yeah Im planning on changing it soon. but I will admit I forgot about it causing problems.

ill post some pics of the entire car soon..

Hey, you got more ***** than I do by not covering up the intake holes and the coupler to the turbos with rags or duct tape. All you need is a nice little washer to fall down there and screw that Pineapple all to hell.

Other than that, looks great. Post more pics cause I'm doing the same thing soon.

Also, give us the low down on prices and who you used for shipping and what you used to ship it in.

Thanks.
