New ACT PP...

Just got this new PP and noticed these 2 drilled holes...is this normal?

Yeah, I noticed the ACT flywheel had these same type of holes in it also. Almost looks like they did it to take some material away so they can balance the PP and flywheel.

Don't recall any of those on my ACT S/S PP when it came, but my guess would be the same as Bad Karma's, someone was trying to get it to balance. Does it look like it might have weakened it significantly?

Well, it's drilled half way through the material. But I don't think that it matters in the area that they drilled. I could be wrong though. I'm going to contact ACT in the morning and get some answers from them.

Most..if not all of the P-Plates that i see have these ( i use ACT almost always) I do think it is as stated already that it is for balancing. Where they have it drilled is not on the presure surface at all. No problems that i have ever seen from this.

Thanks for the response guys! I figured it was for some purpose, seeing how it's on both the pressure plate and the flywheel.
