Never sell a project car

I was checking my email and one of my auctions links me to an rx7 for sale, my old car is totalled. 4 years of work and only 3 months after it was sold to the new owner.

The guy who bought it is local to me, however I don't know him. I got a call about 2 months ago from a friend trying to help him out. The car was barely running and they had ordered a datalogic to get things in order. I never heard anything else after that phone call and never heard anyone local say anything about a wreck.

IIRC, the guy was farily young (early 20's) who had it.

Looks like it hit a telephone pole or something they way that roof is collapsed in. I remember seeing that car on here a while ago, it looked pretty nice.

the guy was 26 who bought it, I wont even discuss the running issues, I still have video of it as the transport company picked it up with the car running, vac. readings, etc. It was fine at the time. It also ended up in the missouri river from a theft.

yeah I did, suspicous I agree. The setup was a twin t04e setup, I had it boosting when I had it initially tuned with no problem but he couldnt get it past 8psi, I believe it had a leak somewhere or a weld cracked.

That is a nasty wreck. This is a good reason for having a roll bar. Hope he wasn't killed! That is pretty gnarly to see the carnage. Yikes once again.

Looks like the driveline is essentially unharmed.....

So your saying that the car was wrecked by the thief? Or do you think it was reported stolen after he crashed it?

Wow, I mean yeah, it sucks that such a nice car was wrecked, but mostly everyone is more worried about the car then the guy. No doubt I love FD's, but I would think someones life is worth a little more then the car (sarcasm)
