Need suggestions

I am having my engine rebuilt in a couple weeks. My end goal is a, almost daily driver that basically runs smooth, with a little more power than a new stock RX7. Nothing extraordinary. First are new housings necessary to make a good rebuild? I am planning a moderate street port already. I have new 99 SPEC turbos, KS v mount, KS cat converter and titanium catback. But what else should I get as far as reliability and performance mods. I have read something about cooling mods and oil mods that some shops do. Is this necessary and could someone clarify what these are?
