Need specific help on the old smoke issue
Ok, I know that the "smoke issue" has been talked about and talked about and like a good liitle boy I have tried my searches but I need something a little more specific to my car to try to diagnose it. First, here are the symptoms:
1.) At cold start, the car will spew a thin mist of whitish/grey smoke out the back and do this until the car reaches its normal operating temp. After it has warmed up, it will never smoke at start up again till it is dead cold again.
2.)If I go to the tailpipe when warm I will get a pungent odor by putting my nose anywhere near the pipe (not sweet but deffinatly strong). The only mods I have are an intake and dp.
3.) This has gotten worse since June. During that time it would smoke just a tad bit at start up and not every time, even if it is dead cold. Since then I have had the oil changed 2 times with less than 500 miles between each oil change.
4.) I have taken off the plactic primary turbo piping and aside from a very light layer of oil film, there is no evidence of any real volume of oil being pushed through.
5.) I notice a slight bit of oil film comming from the BOV hose (it is vented to atmosphere)
6.) I have noticed no overheating issues what so ever and this was when the car was sitting in traffic for over an hour with 90+ temp outside so I imagine I would have noticed it then.
My car is a 95 so it does not have a PCV which would have been the first thing I checked. The only reason I am asking this is I have gotten one or two comments from neighbors about it (ie condo association) and do not want to get a fine and nobody else has seem to have fixed this problem.
Thanks
