Need some input on what this problem might be?

Hey I trying to help out some thru a phone. Anyway he has a 93 with oem precat and main cat,66.000 miles on the car. Here is the problem when the car comes a stop a light or etc and he put the car in gear the idle hunts above 1,000 rpm? The car start fine boost fine and idle fine a little over 800 rpm. I am thinking of a switch that behind the clutch pedal? Can anyone correct me if I am wrong or what other problems his car can be having? thanks alot, khris

There are two clutch switches, one for the starter and one for the ecu. The ecu one can cause idleing problems if not working. So can a bad or misadjusted TPS, or O2 sensor, or too much idle air that the ISC solenoid can control. Leaking vacuum hose or gaskets can too.

Many things to check.
