Need some guidance on mods

I've got a stock93 FD with about 10k on a Pineapple rebuild. Started out with plans to do some reliability mods but got bit by the performance bug. So far I've purchased a Greddy FMIC, HKS downpipe, Pettit AST, HKS filters, Apexi cat-back, ACT lightened flywheel, Hi-flow Cat (brand unknown) and a Koyo Aluminum radiator. Still plan to pick up a PFC and then today I made a commitment to buy a set of 99 spec turbos. I'm planning to do the work over the winter.

My question is, with all this stuff is there any other mods that would be needed to support this list of mods? Fuel pump maybe? Injectors? I'm only looking for necessary mods to support what I've already purchased.

Any advice on this owuld be appreciated.

Audie

New clutch and fuel pump.

Don't neglect the rest of the car. Make sure you have good/refreshed brakes to stop and good tires to stop as well as hold traction.

If you want to run high boost, you will need bigger injectors.

Mahjik....looking for a clutch now. Can't decide whether to stay with ACT or maybe an Exedy or Pettit. I assume these will all work with the ACT flywheel. Brakes and tires are good, but I am adding stainless lines. Any recommendations on the fuel pump?

adam...bigger injectors are down the road. Right now just trying to make sure I don't neglect anything and put my engine at risk.

I'm partial to the RX7.com pump:

http://www.rx7.com/store/rx7/fdfuel.html

Mainly because I have one sitting on my workbench getting ready to get installed.

I'd go single...get the heat out of the bay, and restriction out the exhaust. That will really make your engine happy

after reading your plann'd mods, I'd say... get a "boost controller" and "HKS Twin-Power + harness". with a new base mod map FD3S4 Power-FC, you don't have to worry about fuel as long as you keep it 12psi or under.

If you plan on running 15psi, not only do u need pump and bigger injectors, you also want to look into a re-tune. 99 spec almost = OEM. don't need really need major fuel mod with them if your keeping around stock boost.

I'm a fan of the Walbro 255lph pump. It's a reliable pump and is used in numerous applications (not just rx7). I can't recommend this read enough to people when figuring out fuel pumps:
http://www.stealth316.com/2-fuelpumpguide.htm

If you don't feel like reading it all, skip to the bottom. There's a conclusion.

I think you really need to get a boost controller. It won't be long before you'll wanna turn the boost up with that setup.... and that means new injectors.

what HP goals are you looking for?. I think a good tune at 12 psi with the mods you have selected is a great start. you should get at least 280-300 RWHP. make sure the rest of the car is taken care of like shocks, brakes, tires, and steering.

Hey dubleup, love the engine bay pics. nice clean car!

I'd hold off on the HKS Twin Power unless you actually need one.

What are bnrs? The guy who I'm negotiating with for the 99 spec turbos says a friend of his has a set of bnrs that I might like more.
