Need a part number...

Hey, jsut really quick, for "track purposes" I'm removing the AC and the Smog pump on my FD, I've got the belt for the AC, but what belt do I need for removing the Smog Pump? Preferably the 5 rib, but if there's no risk running the 4-rib I will do that as well...

thankx

I would recommend getting one of the Air Pump Removal kits like the GReddy kit. It will enlarge the water pump pulley to give a better connection:

30" or 760mm are the magic numbers you need for the correct belt length after removing the airpump

Right on thanx guys, now with the pulley kits, does removing the smog pump really make the water pump less effective?

Not necessarily less effective, but the belt contact is less than ideal. The pulley kits give a better contact for the belt onto the pulley with the air pump removed.
