What is the name of the rubber piece that goes over the shifter and bolts to the tranny tunnel? I pulled my shifter off and it is in several rotting pieces so I need to replace it. Also if you have any clue what Ray would charge for such a piece I would appreciate the info before I call and get a quote.

I believe its called a shifter insulator or boot. They are pricey, over $100 if I recall. Give Ray a call he knows the car inside and out.

 

It's the inner shift boot. Just tell Ray you need the shift boot that bolts to the tranny with 3 bolts and he'll get you the right part. They should be pretty cheap.
