need new twins

My twins are just about dead. I was considering a single in the future, but at this time I don't want to shell out that much cash just yet.

Current mods: (not all are on at this time)
Downpipe
Resontated midpipe
Apexi N1 Catback
Apexi Intake
Apexi AVC-R
ACT S/S Clutch
ACT Streetlight Flywheel

Should be ordering these sometime this month:
V mount IC (rotary extreme)
Full pulley kit
HKS twin power
ECU

I'm thinking about a set of BNR's. Maybe stage 1 or 2. Planning on no more than 12psi and non-seq. With that (little) amount of boost, will it be a waste to get the stage 2's or should I just look into a used set of stockers? Also will a pettit unlimited ECU hold up until I get a PFC?

I'm only wanting a conservative beast right now. Anything else I need to pick up while I'm at it??? Comments welcome!
Thanks!

If you're just looking for 12 psi then why not stick with the stockers and go for a PFC because if you're seriously considering a single in the future at least to me it'd seem more wise to save for the programmable ECU.

A lot of noise lately from the twins.
I'm plannig on pulling them in a few weeks to go non-seq and thought it might be a good idea to go ahead and replace them. They have 90K on them too.
Haven't totally dedcided on a single yet. It depends on what I do with the twins and how happy I am with non-seq.

Oh ECU's, I'm not sure I wanted to mess with the tuning just yet. I figure the pettit isn't going to cost much exspecially compared to an engine if I pop it with my (lack of) tuning abilities.

If you are only looking to stay under the 15PSI range, I would just recommend a standard turbo rebuild or maybe the BNR Stage I.

Under 15 or so PSI, you won't be doing a whole lot of damage with more upgraded turbos.

I chatted with Steve Kan with a similiar question,
We both agreed that with the mods I had, Id be ok with Stage 2 bnrs on a Pettit ECU.

Stage 2 BNRs are so damn expensive though. By the time you're done with that and an aftermarket ECU you've payed already half of what you would have for a single turbo setup.

I say rebuild the stock turbos and wait until you can afford single.

If you go single, there are many things you need to conern such as fuel and ported engine...That only for you to desire more power.
Why don't you up grade the stock twins or get the 280hp's twins?

Because the fuel upgrades be something that will be required in the future anyways. You do not NEED a ported engine to run single turbo. It's better, but a ported engine is better for high rpm NA usage as well.

By the time the guy is done he'll have dumped 2500-3000$ into BNR twins and Pettit ECU. That's economically unfeasible when manifest destiny is single turbo with upgraded fuel _anyways_.

I got my Pettit ECU for a good price
and theres a few for sale in the parts forum for about $400 (5spd)
*not too mention a few people selling their BNR kits.
If I didnt have an extra set of stock twins, Id have the JDM turbos.

If you want to run non-sequential, why wouldn't you just save up a bit and get a single? Doesn't non-sequential pretty much just act like a small single that spools well?

Money isn't really the issue. I don't have a big enough garage to leave my car in a million pieces for an extended period of time. If I went single now, I'd want to tear everything down and build it right taking my time. In a few years when I have more space, that's what I plan to do. To hold me over, I was just planning on something small to keep her out on the street.
