need a little more height

my car came from the PO with eibach springs and konis, but the ride height is just a little too low, I'd like another inch or so and I won't have to worry about bottoming out on the wonderful freeways we have around here. Without knowing exactly what I have is it possible to just swap in some stock height springs and call it a day?

If you're going for stock height, you might as well pick up a set of R2 springs/shocks. They're relatively cheap and handle great.

stock-ish. I don't know how much lower I am now but I'm dragging hard parts everywhere no matter how careful I am so these have to go.
Bet I could get someone to trade me for these eibachs, they're essentially brand new I think.

All springs for a give year are the same. The shocks are the difference. If you need a little more height check your upper shock mounts. When they get old they compress and yield a lower ride height. Also, some konis have adjustable spring perches.

Check to see what perches the PO used. Most likely, you'll be able to adjust the springs up to a higher perch.

What he said. Also verify that the spring perches are all facing the same direction as that will affect ride height as well.

You can pick up a set of used stock springs for about $50 shipped here on the forum and you can probably sell the Eibachs for $100-150 shipped. I like the stock springs for street use on the Koni shocks. If you are going to change them, follow Rotary Experiment's recommendation and replace the upper shock mount and also the spring pads. You can get them from Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda at a fair price. His number is in the FAQ if you don't have it.

Honestly, even Eibachs on the highest perch up front will be too low. That was my experience... I ran the highest up front, and the middle in the rear.

For the OP, 100% stock sounds like the best deal.

or, do a budget/quickfix if you`re a handy dude, and do as i did when i noticed that the new rims rubbed wheelarches with just a few millimetres 12 nighttimehours before a big meeting over here in norway, and noone had original springs laying around. Rebuild the suspension.
Take out the spring and damper by loosening the two bottom bolts and the top mounting. loosen the topmount after compressing the spring.
take a 2cm(or more) hard plastic plate, profilecut it so the top of the plate facing the topmount fits just inside the original topmount so the plastic plate doesnt slide around in the topmount.
Then, use the profile-cutter to machine a groove identical to the spring, identical(or close to) the original groove in the topmounting where the spring is in contact with the topmount. Make sure you have some millimetres on the outside of the spring, so the supporting walls in the plastic has some strength. Add a mm or two of silicone in the groove to prevent squeeking from the plastic. Bolt the stuff back together, and you have raised the car alittle.

Use something like this profilecutting-tool:

but, best thing is just to get some new springs. I didnt have anyting avalable, so i had to think something up there and then... Havent checked the suspension-geometry and wheelallignment after the operation, but as i said, it was just a quickfix for me...!

hey didn't even think about that, thanks!
Even if they're on the middle perches an ich or a half inch will help a bunch

no dice. Assuming these konis have 3 perches like the konis I ran on the miata did, the front and rears are all on the top of the 3 perches. the back actually sits decently high, I guess I could drop the back down to the middle or low and gain a little up front.

If you just need to raise the front, throw some stock springs on, and be done with it.
