Question Need info on socket sizes for manual tranny fluid change

It's time to change my manual tranny fluid and I can't remember the sizes of the sockets needed. The drain plug is pretty big--like 22 or 23 mm? and the fill is like 14 or 17 I think. Not sure--does anyone have this info? Also, I looked in the shop manual and couldn't find it--either it's not in there or I'm blind as a bat

IIRC, there are two drain plugs, the big one on the bottom and a square one. The fill plug is square also, on the side near to top of the tranny. You can get one of those big soft-soap style pumpers to pump the oil up into the fill hole, or use a hose the runs up through the engine bay. Get the whole car off the ground and somewhat level to make sure you get the fill level right. The capacity is listed as 2.6 quarts.

Yep, crescent wrench for the full plug, but I thought that the drain was 22mm...I'll have to get under and see...

The big drain plug is 24 mm. Because of that lip in the casting you can't use the adjustable. Had to buy another socket set and a 1/2" driver.
