on the firewall, near the location of the brake booster/tps area. Small black sensor, that (incidentally) retails for $407 at Mazda. The nipple is on the underside of the sensor.

If you havent checked it by now, that is most likely your problem. Zip-tie that sucker.

ok good news and bad news .. i just checked the map sensor .. it was that .. the bottom tube that goes to it fell off and i plugged it into a metal nub on the side near the elbow .. thought that was a valve .. anyways .. the car didnt buck like before and now i turned it on .. alot of smoke came out the exhaust ... i mean alot .. and i noticed some water too .. also smoke is coming from under the hood .. between the uim and the turbos .. and when i press down on the clutch and put it into gear (still holding down the clutch) the rpms just starts to rise .. if i let it just rise to a certain rpm .. it shuts off the car .. i dont know which rpm this happens at exactly .. cause i only let it happen once .. got too scared to try it again .. so i shut the car off .. please help!!! i dunno what the hells going on

i believe it was a vacuum tube that goes to the boost sensor (located at the bottom) .. i just plugged it back in .. before it was unplugged and i plugged it onto a metal nub on the throttle body (just a metal nub which i confused for a valve)

Start your car again. Keep the clutch in, and keep it in gear. If it goes over 2500 rpm, shut it off. You may need to let it run to clean itself out.

i reseted the ecu and the problem with the rpms going up when i put it into gear, while holding down the clutch, went away. now my car is idling really high, about 1300. should i be worried about this? or should i just adjust my idle?

Was the car running fine before you installed the plugs?

adjust the screws on the throttle body .. and the screw under the elbow leading towards the throttle body .. basically messed around with it .. and all i can get my car is to lower at 1k rpm .. which is an improvement compared to the 13500 rpm idle .. but before i did the spark plug change it was idling at 750

Adjust the idle screw back where it was and look to see if where the throttle cable and cruise control cable hooks up is resting against it. If not take the little black cap off of the cruise control and look to see if the black tube around the cable is still crimped to the cruise control unit. It may be keeping that peice from resting against the idle screw if its not crimped there. ( happened to me)

Edit: If you dont understand what I'm talking about just let me know and I'll take a picture for you. After reading what I wrote myself it sounds kind of confusing lol.

which idle screw are you talking about? the one under the elbow? the one on the throttle body that is perpendicular to the ground? or the one that is parallel to the ground?

You shouldn't be adjusting things if the idle was fine before you started working on it. Like said above I would check the throttle cables, maybe disconnect the cable and see if the throttle lever closes a bit. If it does than might be kinked or stuck.

You probably could of avoided this problem if you took them out one by one and looked at them and put the new/right plug back in its spot then moved on to the next one.

That wasnt the issue in the first place...He had a hose off, and now theres just something not set back right thats creating an issue with his idle.

I didn't get a chance to get the car in the garage to take some pictures (night here) but I did find these pictures that should lead you in the right direction. Both of these pictures are from http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/i...n_install.html If you look at the first picture where your supposed to remove the throttle and cruise control cable. Second picture is where the cruise control is located and shows what you need to look for to make sure its all right.
