Need Help Tires Acting Strange
I' m having a little problem with my car. I recently put Bf Goodrich Drag Radials on my car (275/35/18 I believe), and since then my car has handled shitty at best. I agree and fully understand that they are a softer compound and have softer sidewalls, hence handling will be sacrificed. However the problem that I am having is much more severe. In a straight line for the most part the car tracks straight and on regular street tires there was no problem at all. In quick lane change situations the car becomes almost uncontrollable until it's stable again. Almost as if the rear end was on jello. Also during braking the same kind of problem occurs pulling from side to side at the mercy of the car. I do not understand this problem and would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks Scojan.
I suggest that you drive the car on regular tires unless you are at the strip. The Drag radials are made to go in a straight line, you can't expect them to handle well.
