Compression numbers on a streetport?
Yes, I searched...getting an engine ported and looking for some valid numbers for new/rebuilt streetported engines.
It seems (from previous threads) that there is a difference...but how much? I am going to pick up my car next week and want to make sure I am getting my money's worth.
>=100psi warm? >=110psi warm? Please cite literature or mechanic (like pettit or a-spec, rx7store, kahn etc) if possible.
TIA

No difference in compression. Compression is pretty much just a measure of wear on housings and seals, how tightly they're sealing. You will get reduced vacuum at idle out of a port depending on the size and style, anywhere between 10 and 15" of vacuum is acceptable for a ported motor.
