Need help sealing off origional BOV hole

The new intercooler I purchased has flanges already welded on to accept an aftermarket BOV and I am planning on using that location. So what do I do about the hole left from the OEM BOV? What can I use to block it off? Is my best bet welding it shut? Thanks in adavnce.

you should cut and weld it if possible. if not you can theorettically cap it, but make sure the cap is tight. get a rubber grommet and a worm clamp from those S HELP! parts for a quick fix.

I have removed the nipples and reshaped the pipe in that area for better flow for several customers . By opening the area and welding a new part in . They all think it is an improvement .Check with Agent Speed for one .

Thanks for the offers, but I won't need to buy another one. A friend of mine is willing to help me out with welding the hole shut.

you don't need to cut anything and weld it.
There is a perfect size rubber cap at autozone that barely fits on there
Once you have it on there, there's a lip on the nipple that will hold it on. I ran up to 13psi on the twins with that capped off and didn't have a problem for 12k miles that I had it like that on the new engine. I also put a thick zip tie around it.

The nipple for the primary bov is pressed in and can be forced out. Then weld the hole and smoth out the finish on it and it looks like it came that way.
