there are bolts running along the bottom and the side of the door panel. IIRC 4-5 of them are along the interior panel. It pops right off after you get all the bolts off it just takes a light tug. 2 harnesses are connected to the window switch and the locking mechanism. Also, the black panel behind the door handle just comes off you might want to take that off to inspect the door handle/key mechanism as well.

that would be awsome but there is no way to get to the 4-5 bolts when the door is stuck shut it won't open so whatever connects the lacth that opens the door to the handle you pull has came apart while being closed.

Have you tried opening it from the inside? that might be a stupid question but maybe its only your handle that is broken?

At the risk of stating the obvious, it sounds like the door is still locked. The passenger door lock operates via a solenoid in conjunction with the driver's side door lock. Is is possible that the solenoid has failed or stuck? Have you tried working the lock mechanism from the inside by hand?

Solenoid or not there is a mechanical door lock on the inside that should unlock the door. I suggest removing the plastic piece (interior of the car) behind the passenger headrest. take the two 10mm nuts off. This will allow you to pull the handle away from the outside of the door and you can then try moving the rod for unlocking the car and the larger one for operating the door opening mechanism. I'll see if I can locate some of my pictures for clarity.

This is all you need to do. CGS has the right of it, for sure. Just take off the handle as he instructs and spray the cables and guts liberally with WD-40 or PB Blaster.

This is such a common problem it needs to be a sticky. My doors seize up about once every other year this same way.
