Need help, looking at rx7 this week

I've found what seems to be a great deal on a 1995 rx7, manual, green, no major body damage just normal paint chips/dents that most cars have, interior is in good condition, 114k on car, engine was rebuilt at 75k, 19" OZ wheels, everything else on the car is stock to my knowledge. So far I've been told that the clutch is beginning to slip, the suspension needs to be replaced (it is the originally supsension from the factory). I've been told by the seller's friend (i work with him) that the owner liked to drive the car hard (liked to drive it fast but he knew how to drive) i hope that makes sense. The car hasn't really been driven in over a year since the owner got a new car. It has sat in his driveway since then. The car does start without any problems and is driveable. I havn't seen the car or driven it yet and when I go, I'm bringing a friend who currently owns an rx7 (his car makes me want to get one). I'm looking for any advice or things to check when I go to take a look at it. I can do bolt-ons but I'm not the mechanical, yet. Oh...best part, he is asking 6500 for the car.

hey bud, youve got one hell of a deal. ive owned two and i know that ive you see even the slightest hint of smoke come out of the exhaust, it is headed for an engine rebuild. to test it, start the car up cold, then later on or the next day after its cooled down again, and see if it still smokes. thats the only way to tell because everthing else like turbos and low 13 sec time slips will be normal. but a 95 for 6500 wow. it would be a deal if you replace everything and still get a 95 for around 12k. just my thoughts.

Makes me feel like getting my single turbo with reman engine for 12K seem like a spot in the distance compared to this . SIKE! heheh.

And oh, I get smoke alright, like 6 feet of thin black smoke behind the car! This thing rips!

It's a deal but if it hasn't been driven for a year you may definately be looking @ some carbon build up issues. If you have the time and extra cash(ie were looking to buy one for 11.5k) I would definately go for it! Damn it DJ bam, I either have too much traction or not enough power.... No smoke yet! Oh yeah, check the posts for the following, these are the things I would definately look @ before purchasing a rex:
Boost Pressure
Compression
Water Seals
Rear Diff(Drive hard and you will pay the price here!)
5th Gear Syncro
Intake Gasket
Exhaust Manifold Gasket

Even if you had a problem w/ all of these it might still be worth it? Just remember that you may not make a big return on investment w/ that kinda milage?
