So I built a new engine harness (emissions) from scratch and salvaged the grounds and transmission bit of the old harness to save time cause they appeared to be in good shape. Now I have two ring style terminals on the harness and can't remember for the life of me where they actually go. They connect in between each other but I would imagine that they would go to different spots. Ill post a pic in the next post.

 

So the ring terminal next to the AWS and the other is the ring terminal next to the water temp sender

 

Anyone?

 

the ring connector by the AWS is the ground that is located under the stock ignition coil bracket. not sure about the other one, but im sure it is another ground.

actually the one next to the water temp sensor is the ring connector under the coil bracket. not sure if the other is for the other rotor housing.

the location of the ground is down. Just look down and you'll find it.

 

Ground by water temp sensor plug goes on stock solenoid rack/coil bracket.
Ground by the aws goes on the rear engine hook.
Ground by the ecu plugs goes on the ecu bracket.
Don't forget the main engine ground that is on the charging harness. It goes to a bracket behind the power steering pump. Usually I eliminate that bracket as it makes it more difficult to get to the spark plugs and bold that ground next the coolant drain on the block.

 

The ecu ground where you said it grounds to the bracket. My power fc didn't come with screws to mount the mounts to so I used double sided tape. Are these grounds to a chassis point through the ecu mount?

 

to the chassis. there should be a threaded hole under the ecu. by under i mean down like in the direction of the floor. if you cant find it then use any point nearby that goes direct to the chassis
