Need help - fuel related

I just had my injectors cleaned with new O-rings and decided to replace my gas lines, FPR and FPD while I was there. I put in new seals for the rails also.

After I installed them I tried the fuel pressure test by jumpering F/P and gnd and turning the ignition to ON. I hear a PSSSS sound but do not see any gas leaking. I am guessing this sound is not normal though and wondering if anyone has any pointers as to where to look. I also assume I should not remove the rails unless I have new seals?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

With the engine off and the fuel pump on it is expected to hear fuel flowing through the lines and the regulator. It will make a little noise. Look closely and smell. If you don't have any visible leaks then you're probably just fine.

Oh, and you can pull the rail if you like.. just be careful with the primary rail. There is a spacer underneath it that can be a pain to re-align.

So the noise is normal and will not go away as long as I perform this test?

What you are hearing is the fuel flow. Like the other post said, if there is a leak, you'll smell it.

I had performed that test several times after installing some fuel components. My recollection is that the noise was made on the initial test but not on any subsequent tests. I believe once the system is pressurized, there is no more fuel movement, thus no more noise.
